my experience in Pribram
In June I got to know that I’d have taken part to the Erasmus project. I was very excited but worried too, because I’d have been in an unknown country, in a house with strangers and without my family. But I was actually looking forward. We left Rome on the seventh of October and we arrived in Prague at 3.00 p.m., but I actually met my host family around 5.00 p.m.
I was very anxious because I’ve spoken with my host only in chat, so she could be different from what I was expecting. Luckily she was very kind and her family was fantastic, in fact they tried to say some words in italian to make me feel comfortable there. The first day I spent a lot of time talking with my host about the differences between our countries, after that I fell asleep because I was very tired. The next day we went to school where we showed a presentation of our school. With the activities i met the other guys, i had the opportunity to get to know them better especially at lunch and in the evening in a pub. My first impression of Pribram was good, it’s a small city but it’s very nice. It isn’t a city for young people but there was something that I really liked.
On the third day that I was in Czech, we went to Pilsen. During the morning we stayed in a job counseling office where a woman make us doing some activities like: find our strengths and our passions. This is useful for us because we can concentrate on certain things that, maybe we’ve never thought they were important, but they actually are. So now that we know our strengths or ambitions we can focus on what kind of job do we prefer.
After that we went to the city centre and we had lunch. We visited a Cathedral and we got on the bell tower, the view was amazing! In the evening we went to the Pilsen’s Brewery. It was so interesting and i love it. They showed us all the processes behind the production of bear. I think that it was the best trip there, probably because I’ve never been in a factory. When we came back I was very tired and unfortunately the next day I had to walk a lot. In fact we interviewed people about their job, and to do it we went all over the city. People showed us how does their job work. It was very interesting, especially when we visited the police and the fire station. In the evening we had free time so we decided to go to Dobrîš’ Castle.
The day after we came back to school where we had to write a short introduction and a teacher filmed us while we were rehearsing it. It is similar to the elevator speech and nowadays it is important to find a job. Before the party some of my new friends and I went to a Pub and around 7.00 p.m. we met with everyone in a venue. We had a good time and I miss a lot spending time with them!
The last day we visited Prague, I fell in love at the first sight because it’s so different from Rome. In fact it is an old city but very fascinating, of all the places that i visited I think that it’s my favourite. We went to the city centre and we saw the most famous places like the Karlův most and the main square. We also went on a trip by ferry and the guide showed us the most important attractions. The trip finished at the Prague Castle, there we greet us.

With these pictures i want to show you who I am because they represent me:
• In the first two pictures I want to express my passion for the lenguages and for the travels. I like going to other countries and see how many differences there are between Italy and the rest of the world. Every place is unique for his traditions and culture.
• I chose the picture with a girl who is watching netflix on the bed, she is also drinking a cup of tea. It represents me because I love to relax with a movie or a tv series.h
• With this picture I can show you how much music is important for me. I always listen to music: when I’m on the bus, when I have a shower or in the night when I am falling asleep. I can’t live without it. It can make you feel happier or sadder, it depends from your humor. Generally I love listening to rap and trap music and reggaeton.
• In this picture there is a plate of Amatriciana, a typical italian food. It is my favourite kind of meal. I choose this one because I love cooking but most of all I love eating (it may not seem like it).
• I chose a picture with a cat because i love animals since i was a child, furthermore i have two cats.
• The last one is my favourite. It perfectly represents me. Why? Because clouds can be peaceful but they can change and became insidious. We can’t allow to trust their appearance. They can turn in something beautiful or destructive.

Hi everyone,
I am Sara Sommella, I’m 16 years old and I live in Rome. I go to high school where i study languages: German, Spanish and English. In fact i don’t like scientific subjects, they’re too complicated for me! I decided to study languages because in these days in Italy you can’t easily find a job, especially if you are young so I made the decision to move abroad, like the majority of the people. After school i think that I’ll go to university to study oriental languages, they’re very difficult to learn and because of this a very few young people want to face them. I’m a bit worried because if I find a job in another country this means that I get away from my family. I will be “alone” in an unknown city. I must be ready!
By the way in my free time I like going out with my friends, reading some fascinating books or watching tv series on netflix. I spend the most of my day at school or at home doing my homework so in the rest of the time i prefer to relax. In fact I’m very lazy but I like to meet my friends too. I’d like to go out more often but my parents don’t let me do this. I’m a bit shy, it depends from the people that I interact with. Everyone says that I am determined because i never change idea and I’m also very ambitious. I’m an hardworker but I don’t like working in team because a lot of times, several people don’t do anything.
